I'm still wondering what you mean by the expression 'heart of the African psyche'. I think your conclusion rather undermines the complexity of Hugo's photographs. Is there an African (continental) psyche? Really? Like an Asian psyche? Or a European psyche?

Your heart's in the right place but I'd question some of your facts. No one has suggested albinism is a disease, at least not on this post. No one has suggested albinos are not smart and as far as I know they are as functional as anyone else. Nevertheless, albinos are not like you and I. They have a genetic abnormality as you pointed out, and because of that look different from you and me, differences that go beyond just "lightness of skin". They are often are treated differently too, including being killed because of African superstitions.
